President Museveni Receives New Envoys, Bolstering Diplomatic Ties with Global Partners

President Museveni welcomed four new ambassadors to Uganda, emphasizing the commitment to strengthen diplomatic relations.

On Wednesday, the 20th of September 2023, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni received the credentials of four newly appointed envoys to the Republic of Uganda. This diplomatic ceremony took place at State House in Entebbe, as confirmed by an official statement from the President’s press team.

The ambassadors who presented their credentials to President Museveni include Mr. William W. Popp representing the United States of America, Ms. Hermansen Anne Kistin representing the Kingdom of Norway, Mr. Pirkka Tapiola representing the Republic of Finland, and Mr. Hazem Shabat representing the State of Palestine.

During this formal gathering, President Museveni extended a warm welcome to the newly appointed envoys and reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Ugandan Government to collaborate closely with them, with the shared goal of strengthening the longstanding and harmonious relationships between our respective nations.

In response, the ambassadors expressed their reciprocal commitment to fostering cooperation with Uganda, underpinned by principles of mutual respect and collaboration.

Noteworthy attendees at this significant event included Uganda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs responsible for regional cooperation, Mr. John Mulimba, alongside other distinguished officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
