The third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister without portfolio, Rt.Hon. Rukia Isanga Nakadama, informed Canadian-based Ugandans that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni oversees a safe and secure Uganda.

To make this point, Rt Hon. Nakadama addressed the National Resistance Movement (NRM) members on 13th August 2023 in Toronto, Canada, at the end of the Second Canada NRM Chapter Symposium.

The NRM family in Canada and all Ugandans living in Canada, regardless of their political allegiances, are highly respected and held in the highest regard since they are sons and daughters of the land, and Uganda belongs to all of us. Under H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s capable and committed leadership, Uganda is safe, secure, and making steady development.

The 3rd Deputy Prime Minister informed the audience those improvements in the areas of health, education, the agricultural sector, the enhanced road network, infrastructural development, and the progressive economy, to name just a few, are plainly evidence of President Museveni’s capable leadership.

Rt. Hon. Nakadama extended his gratitude to H.E the President for his unwavering support of the NRM Party and his outstanding leadership.

She said, “This Symposium was able to eventually take place because of his fatherly commitment.”

“Please allow me to thank each and every one of you for taking part. This Symposium has become much more interesting, informative, and interactive thanks to your involvement.”

Participants in the symposium had the chance to talk about a variety of topics, including investment, immigration and development, and land and development.

The attendees were given the assurance by Rt.Hon. Nakadama that the outcomes of the symposium would be addressed in a report to H.E the President and that problems would be resolved if they arose.

She pledged that her office would contact the appropriate Ministries to see that the issues raised in the Symposium were addressed as the head of the docket for mobilizing Ugandans living abroad.

Rt. Hon. Nakadama gave special praise to Ugandan Canadians for flying the NRM flag high and attending the symposium in large numbers with zeal. She said such a gesture portrays that indeed the ruling party is not only strong in Uganda but is loved across the Globe.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the purpose of these symposiums is to create a forum for collaboration between the NRM community in Uganda and Canada. All Ugandans residing in Canada are welcome to join the NRM Party, according to NRM.”

Participants in the symposium also agreed that the Canada NRM chapter needs to consider how to communicate with the NRM leadership at home and start the process of registering all of the party’s members in Canada in order to engage Ugandans living in Canada to contribute to national development.

They also concurred that Ugandans in the diaspora who have made extraordinary achievements and who possess exceptional abilities can be found and brought back to their nation to aid in its development.

The Minister for Presidency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda, and the Minister of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, Hon. Judith Nabakooba, among other dignitaries, also attended the symposium.
