Former Amuria County MP and veteran journalist Francis Onapito will be buried in late November, following his will. A meeting between his family, lawyer, and the National Organizing Committee confirmed the arrangements. Onapito passed away on September 27 at age 58.

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) has achieved a key milestone with the delivery of nine trucks of coated line pipes to Kyotera District, Uganda. This pipeline, stretching 1,443 kilometers, will transport Uganda’s crude oil from the Hoima Terminal to Tanga Port in Tanzania. Currently, 800 kilometers of pipes are being coated in Tanzania.
